10K students to be displaced as 22 pvt schools face closure

Institutes had already been derecognised by ZP in June, but have still failed to get the necessary permissions required to function
Despite warnings from the Zilla Parishad, Pune Munici pal Corporation (PMC) and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), which declared a list of 67 private schools that were derecognised in June this year, there are still 22 institutes that are not fulfilling criteria as per the state government rules and hence have been ordered to shut down. Govt will take over 449 schools if they fail to return extra fees: Delhi CM

NEW DELHI: The Delhi government will take over around 449 private schools, which have been served show cause notices over charging extra fee, only as a “last resort” if they do not roll back their decision, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday.
