SSC students can claim arts quota marks online

Aurangabad : SSC students can now apply for drawing and arts quota marks while filling up their examination forms online.

Filling of application forms for the SSC and HSC examinations, which will be held in February and March, is scheduled to begin from September 15. In light of this, the state board has issued new guidelines to educational institutions. Read the rest of this entry »

Baseline test to be held over 4 days

Aurangabad : The baseline tests that are to be conducted across schools in the state will be a four-day examination instead of the earlier two-day activity from current academic year 2017-18.

AhmedabadChennai : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) told the Gujarat and the Madras high courts that there is no possibility of declaring National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET) result for UG-level medical courses on June 8.

Stress levels are highest a week before exam: Study

New Delhi: With the board exams already been started this week, the stress level in students is at its peak, a new study has revealed.

“A month before the examination only 13 per cent of students felt high stress level, which increased to an alarming 82.2 per cent with the exams just a week away,” the study noted.

According to the study, exam stress can be ‘dangerous’ as it affects students both physically and mentally as they “do not eat properly and not care for hygiene” during exams. Read the rest of this entry »

Board rules out re-exam for question papers gone viral

Pune : The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education clarified on Tuesday that the board would not be conducting any re-exam for Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC, Class XII) exam papers whose questions went viral.

The clarification comes against the backdrop of many parents receiving messages on social media about the re-examination of the viral papers.One such message, circulated on cellphone messaging apps, stated that re-exam of Marathi and secretarial practice papers of commerce stream would be held in the coming days. Over 17 lakh to appear for SSC exams
