LUCKNOW: Screams of joy and reverberated on premises of schools after Central Board of Secondary Education class X results were declared on Saturday. Exchanging high fives and sharing sweets to celebrate a perfect 10 Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA), it was a day of all smiles and no tears for the students.

No sale of books, uniforms in schools: CBSE

New Delhi : The Central Board of Secondary Education has asked affiliated schools across the country to shut down shops selling textbooks, stationery, schoolbags, uniforms, shoes and similar articles within their premises.

The board asked schools on Thursday to strictly comply with its affiliation byelaws and “not indulge in commercial activities“. This includes sales through “selected vendors“. Read the rest of this entry »

Pune : The Central Board of Secondary Education’s recent decision to have a uniform assessment system from Standard VI to IX instead of continuous comprehensive evaluation (CCE) has received mixed reactions from the city’s school principals.

New Delhi : The Central Board of Secondary Education has formally junked the continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) scheme for classes VI to IX, being followed in affiliated schools since 2009. Replacing it from the coming academic year (2017-18) is a new format -`uniform system of assessment, examination and report card’ -that aims at standardising teaching and evaluation across schools.
