From 2018, only NCERT to publish school books

New Delhi : From next year, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will be the only agency to publish school textbooks while the CBSE’s role will be restricted to its original mandate of holding examinations and affiliation.

AhmedabadChennai : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) told the Gujarat and the Madras high courts that there is no possibility of declaring National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET) result for UG-level medical courses on June 8.

Madurai : In an order that may throw the National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET) schedule for MBBS and BDS admissions off the track, the Madras high court on Wednesday stayed all further proceedings with regard to the examination held on May 7.

New assessment pattern by CBSE baffles parents, schools

Principals of several CBSE-affiliated schools have confirmed that a uniform system of assessment and examination has replaced CCE for classes 6 to 9.

While most CBSE schools have already started their academic session, parents are finally coming to terms with a fresh challenge – the new assessment pattern implemented by the board.
