JP Trust students bag best creativity, animation awards

Pune : JP Trust’s Vidya Niketan School bagged the best creativity and best animation awards while City Pride School, Nigdi bagged the best creativity award in the junior and senior sections respectively in the recent interschool Compuskills Championship 2017.

Pune : PLAY HELPS CLINCH INTER-COLLEGE EVENT

The New Arts, Science and Commerce College from Ahmednagar created history on Sunday after winning the prestigious Purushottam Karandak, the short play inter-collegiate competition. The college lifted the trophy for their play `Mic’.This was the first time in 36 years that a college from Ahmednagar won this trophy. PMC schools in no shape for Swachh race

Bereft of basic facilities such as toilets and drinking water, 246 out of 312 institutes are still waiting for aid
While the state government has announced a Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar for government schools, institutes run by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) are in such dismal condition that participating in the competition seems out of the question. Out of 312 schools, around 246 schools lack basic facilities such as drinking water and toilets. To make matters worse, the school board is now facing a funding crunch, so it seems unlikely these issues will be addressed anytime soon. Read the rest of this entry »

As many as 32 colleges from Pune, Ahmednagar and Nashik, coming under the jurisdiction of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), took part in the 25th inter-collegiate elocution competition, organised recently by Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College Of Commerce (MMCC) in collaboration with Anti-Dowry Movement, Mumbai. Pune: Students of PVG’s Muktangan English School and Junior  College, Pune, recently witnessed an inter-house street play competition. The competition had topics like demonetisation, nature speaks, advantages and disadvantages of cell phones and gender inequality, which were given to Bose, Tilak, Tagore and Vivekanand houses respectively. Pune boy wins 16th Abacus Championship of 8th level

Last year, Tirth Rahul Bora stood first in the 7th level in the National Abacus Championship, which was held in Delhi.

Tirth Rahul Bora, a 5th-standard boy from city-based Rosary High School, has won the World Championship trophy in the 16th International Abacus and Arithmetic competition, held in Sugathadasa Stadium of Colombo, Sri Lanka. NAGPUR: CBSE has joined hands with the Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency in conducting the national level painting Competition to inculcate the habit of energy conservation among students.
