32 colleges take part in elocution competition

V P Narkhede, Joint Director of Higher Education, Pune, was the chief guest at the inaugural function.

As many as 32 colleges from Pune, Ahmednagar and Nashik, coming under the jurisdiction of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), took part in the 25th inter-collegiate elocution competition, organised recently by Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s College Of Commerce (MMCC) in collaboration with Anti-Dowry Movement, Mumbai. Pune: Students of Symbiosis School won the ‘Pearson’s City-Wide Quiz’ held in the city recently.

Aimed at providing an opportunity for students to showcase their talent and indulge in their quest for knowledge, Pearson Schools, managed by Pearson India, organised a city-wide inter-school quiz competition for the second year in a row for students from Std V to VIII. Pune: Students of PVG’s Muktangan English School and Junior  College, Pune, recently witnessed an inter-house street play competition. The competition had topics like demonetisation, nature speaks, advantages and disadvantages of cell phones and gender inequality, which were given to Bose, Tilak, Tagore and Vivekanand houses respectively. Pune boy wins 16th Abacus Championship of 8th level

Last year, Tirth Rahul Bora stood first in the 7th level in the National Abacus Championship, which was held in Delhi.

Tirth Rahul Bora, a 5th-standard boy from city-based Rosary High School, has won the World Championship trophy in the 16th International Abacus and Arithmetic competition, held in Sugathadasa Stadium of Colombo, Sri Lanka. NAGPUR: CBSE has joined hands with the Ministry of Power and Bureau of Energy Efficiency in conducting the national level painting Competition to inculcate the habit of energy conservation among students.
