MoA for Sainik School Satara inked

Mumbai: The Central and the Maharashtra government have signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) for financial assistance to Sainik School in Satara district.

Pune: In a bid to go digital in every aspect, Rotary Club of Pune Katraj Charitable Trust has completed the work of digitising all government-approved special schools in the city.

Primary schools fall behind CM’s quality target

Pune : A review meeting conducted by chief minister Devendra Fadnavis in the first week of December revealed that in the first phase of improving quality of all 33,000 primary schools in the state, only 15,000 have been able to meet the target.

State govt forms panels to look into ashram schools

Pune: The State government has formed regional committees to ensure that all facilities are provided to students in ashram schools, to curb the possible reasons for deaths of students due to lack of effective measures. This was released in a Government Resolution (GR) by the Department of Tribal Development.

CBSE schools to go cashless from January

NEW DELHI : Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Push for a digital economy, the CBSE has asked all its affiliated schools to start collecting fee through online or a cashless mode from the next quarter commencing from January next year.

In a letter to the schools, CBSE secretary Joseph Emmanuel said that the benefits of cashless transactions are enormous and the CBSE has brought e-payment facilities for collection of examination fee, affiliation and various activities including payments to its examination functionaries. Nagpur : Starting January 1, all CBSE-affiliated schools will have to start collecting fees in cashless mode, according to a directive from the central board. A letter from board secretary Joseph Emmanuel to principals made it clear there isn’t going to be any wriggle room for schools.
