No internal marks in language and social science for classes IX and X

New Delhi : Responding to a growing demand from students, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday re-opened the online application process for verificationrechecking of marks and obtaining photocopies of evaluated answer scripts of the Class XII board exams. While the date for online recheckingverification has been extended till June 27, photocopies can be obtained till June 30. The details will be uploaded on the CBSE website on Friday . Pune : In Pune division, over 77k students score 45% to 60%

The pass percentage on Tuesday , both in Pune division and in the district, dropped by over 1% compared to the last year in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC, Std X) board exam results declared on Tuesday .In the percentage-wise data, a maximum number of students in Pune division, 30.06% (77,310) scored between 45% and 60% marks. Marathi, Hindi success rates dip as paper pattern shifts

Pune : Marathi and Hindi languages played spoilsports as the students’ success rates in these subjects slid downhill considerably in the state.

While Hindi (as first language) result saw 4.18% dip, success rate in Marathi went down by 3.29%. Experts said strict evaluation of both language subjects and the introduction of activity based questions may have led to the drop in the pass percentages. Read the rest of this entry »

Pune : Overall Pass Percentage Dips In State

From a sea of 17 lakh students in the state, 193 stood out for scoring 100% in the SSC results. It marked a significant return of 100 percenters after last year’s 39. The board awarded them marks for excelling in sports, arts and culture.The results of the secondary school certificate (SSC) examination conducted in March this year were announced online by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Tuesday . SSC result 2017 date Maharashtra: The exam was held at 4,728 centres across the state and students will need to score at least 35 per cent in each subject to clear the class 10 Maharashtra Board exams. Last year, a total of 1727496 students appeared for the exam.

The much-awaited results of the Joint Entrance Ex am (JEE) Advanced 2017, which were held on May 21, were announced on Sunday. Giving another reason for Punekars to cheer this year, Akshat Chugh from the city bagged All India Rank (AIR) second place by scoring 335 marks.Chugh lost to rank one holder Chandigarh-based Sarvesh Mehtani by just four marks.
